Adam Grant has written extensively on Give & Take and who comes out best. Ironically it's givers who learn how to match and create a fair exchange of value - not the takers - that succeed.
I don't want to be subjugated and told how to live my life by misogynistic men who want to take away women's rights to choose and how we live our lives; same with LGBTQI community and other minorities. I want to embrace diversity and live with others working for the common good.
Democracy is not perfect but its the fairer model for all and we have to work hard to keep it going or else something far worse takes its place. The Politics Girl has some great content: https://www.youtube.com/@PoliticsGirl
I do not subscribe to your views in this post. We only have to look at COP28 to see that the fossil fuel billionaires and states have no desire to use their power and wealth to generate positive sustainable change for this planet. They take away competition by locking everything up for themselves. Which is why you might like to read this article by George Monbiot on why certain very rich people don't care about the living planet, or even, in some cases, their own children. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2023/nov/29/cop28-billionaires-blocking-action-save-planet-protest
Building on this, there are those who work in partnership with a range of dubious people and organisations to further their wealth and power. Here is a detailed synopsis of how big money libertarians & Christo nationalism are destroying democracies around the world & looking to take away our democratic rights as well. https://chrysstevenson.com/2023/12/05/christian-dominionism-follow-the-money/
Those billionaires with an empathy by-pass keep rorting the system for personal gain which has gotten us into this dreadful situation in the first place. They have no desire to work for the common good which is why this work is left to the rest of us who are NOT pacifist protesters but grassroots community activtists who have and are mobilising to bring about real change in how we live and work and do democracy. I have first hand experience having lead 4 such initiatives in the past 3 years with success. Which is why you might like to read this too: http://www.auswhn.org.au/blog/our-quest-for-goldstein/
Until we stop striving to be billionaires and instead look at how we can work together to create mutually prosperous societies that value collaboration, decent work and wages, integrity, equality and real climate action we will be held hostage by the corrupt few who game the system where winner takes all - except in this dystopian version there won't be much left to take because these billionaires and their vested interests will have ruined it for everyone. How dumb is that?
will read the 3 articles links in there. seems like a transition from testo-brain to oestro-heart can be quite hard. I'd like to conduct a billionaire study. There's always been 1 king, 1 leader historically. Does this model scale? Can one change a brain from taking to giving?

It's not about testosterone or estrogen either. It's about realising the interconnectivity of everything and how we all rely on each other to survive and thrive. I wrote about this in a chapter called the moral case for gratitude in my book on Gratitude: https://www.barrett.com.au/blogs/2021/7558/gratitude/world-gratitude-day-the-moral-case-for-gratitude-especially-in-uncertain-times/
The one king/leader approach is what the far right want - they want authoritarianism not democracy. Read Robert Reich: https://robertreich.substack.com/p/the-new-axis-of-evil
