So I went on a Calendly Follow-Up Rage today.
I have the pro version and it allows me to send emails and texts to the 20+ peeps I meet daily. I would do this last year, but very lightly.
Maybe I overdid it but let’s see.
My goal’s 2 fold:
1- Eliminate no-shows.
I’ve had tons of these lately. So I’m sending SMS / Emails, Days, Hours, Minutes and During the scheduled call. Checked.
2- Have peeps engage with me.
It seems that as soon as we’re done doing the pod, folks just go and forget. it seems like it’s really transactional, and it’s the end of our relationship while it should be the beginning of it. So in the hopes of continuing the relationship, I made sure I’d send value for at least 1 year: ask folks to subscribe to my newsletter, social medias where I send tons on value. Give them free podcasters lists. Give them free copywriting tips, free courses, free books, etc.
Via email and via text.
The email looks like this:
Hi {{invitee_first_name}}, thanks for being on the call today.

4- I give out my paid newsletter for free to folks I speak to. This newsletter is the bomb. I share my best knowledge 2-3 times a week. It’s longer form and it’s full transparency: my trials and tribulations, my monthly income, my best growth hacks and my secret master plans revealed.
5- can you refer me to folks for my podcast? I interview high performers and CEOs.
6- If you want to interview me for your podcast, let me know, I’m an edutaining guest.
