My Full Follow-Up Funnel when I meet *Mavericks* on my Podcast
When I meet a billionaire, a mass impacter or Richard Branson type
Occasionally, I get to meet very successful people on my podcast, they are 1% of my interviews. I’m not even sure why these folks accepted to meet me, but they did and the goal is to keep in touch and grow a relationship with them. Time to add massive value.
I don’t just stop at the interview; I ensure we stay connected, collaborate, and amplify their brand.
Here’s my follow-up system to turn podcast guests into long-term allies, co-hosts, and business partners:
1️⃣ Post-Podcast Follow-Up (0-3 Days After the Interview)
✅ Create & Share Opus Clips – I go out of my way to generate multiple high-impact video clips using Opus Clip.
✅ Tag Them on Every Post – Clips get posted on LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts with their tag to amplify visibility.
✅ Follow-Up DM: “Epic convo, [Name]! Just dropped some clips from our pod—tagged you so your audience sees it too. Let’s do more together.”
✅ Newsletter Feature – If their insights were 🔥, I’ll highlight them in my LinkedIn Newsletter (The Biohacked CEO, House of GPTs, etc.).
✅ Direct Referrals – If they’re in my lane, I’ll introduce them to my network before they even ask.
✅ Invite to a Private WhatsApp Group (if relevant to their industry).
2️⃣ Deeper Relationship Building (2 Weeks - 1 Month Later)
✅ Quarterly Podcast Invite – If they’re interesting and bring heat, I invite them for another session in 3 months.
✅ Collaboration Offer – If there’s synergy, I’ll explore co-marketing, joint ventures, or intros to my clients.
✅ Exclusive AI Tools Access – If they’re a tech founder or marketing beast, I might hook them up with beta access to my AI lead-gen stack.
3️⃣ Long-Term Play (3-6 Months In)
✅ Frequent Podcast Appearances – If they’re bringing insane insights, I invite them again & again (some may even become a co-host).
✅ Co-Creation of Content – Ghostwriting, deep-dive interviews, or an AI-powered content series featuring them.
✅ Mastermind-Level Relationship – If they’re a Maverick CEO operating at my level, I proactively look for ways to scale together.
Final Rule: The More Interesting They Are, The More I Double Down

🚀 Some will become co-hosts, business partners, or even close friends.
