so this time around, I usually reflect on my year. My new objectives come out quickly and as I closed the visualize-to-action loop, I’m currently stacking my new PE ambitions and AGI ambitions on top of my existing agency portfolio, mastermind and podcasting goals. Reducing time in some ventures, adding time in these new ones.
And so, I started my PE campaigns a couple weeks ago. “do you want to sell your business” it said. And already had 2-5 meetings for these. And yesterday I spoke to a very interesting guy.
He has an app generating 2.5M/yr, around 500k expenses per year. That’s 2M of clean profits / yr. For one app out of his portfolio. He’s about to hit 100M downloads. In the podcasting / edu-listening niche. He’s seeking around 20M for the app.
The ideal buyer would be some PE group with experience managing apps / ad buying for more downloads. If he spends 1 ad dollar, he’ll get around 1.20 back. This can be optimized as he’s only buying Google Ads. One could potentially see the app declining for reasons I could get into on a call, but one could also see the app growing in emerging markets.
So, I’d take 5% of the final transaction price, that’d be 1M if we close the 20M deal.
